The AED CPR bill SB312 the Antony Hobbs, III Act was signed into law on Thursday, March 19th at 10:00 a.m by Governor Mike Beebe. Joining the bill sponosrs and volunteers from the American Heart Association were Hobbs parents Mr. and Mrs. Antony Hobbs. Antony died of sudden cardiac arrest on January 2, 2008 at a Parkview High School Basketball game.
With the passage of this bill all school campus' across the state will have an automated external defibrillator and trained school personnel in basic CPR. Impelemntation should begin immediately and is scheduled for completion by May 2011.
