AED/CPR Bill Passes First Step

A bill that will put an Automated External Defibrillator in every school and provide CPR training for school staff has been passed by a Senate Committee. It will now be voted on by the full Senate on Monday March 9th. Watch video below of Senator Steele Introducing AED CPR Bill to Education Committee

Please tell your Senator to vote YES and help protect our children while they’re at school. CPR and AEDs have proven to be lifesaving techniques when used after someone suffers a sudden heart attack. All schools deserve to have AEDs and staff trained in CPR. Because of your help passing a tobacco tax increase - - funding is now available for this program. All we have to do pass it! Again, please take action at the link above! Sincerely, Barbara Kumpe Government Relations Director Heart Disease and Stroke. You’re the Cure.
